Why should we back?

Intro

I’m Jason from KickstartNew, and today we’re taking a close look at the RANGEMATE Signature project by Pellytech, which promises to transform a standard microwave into a high-temperature (up to 750 °F / 400 °C) far-infrared cooker. This campaign is aimed at home cooks, students, dorm-residents or small-kitchen users who want grilling or roasting results without a full oven or outdoor grill.

Why should I back this project?

  1. The RANGEMATE Signature claims to use patented far-infrared heating technology to deliver crisp outsides and tender insides even in a microwave.

  2. It allows cooking methods typically reserved for ovens or grills—roasting, searing, baking—to be done in minutes with fewer appliances.

  3. It may save space and cost by turning your microwave into a more versatile cooking tool rather than buying a full second appliance.

  4. The design emphasizes convenience: a sealed lid to reduce splatter, PFAS-free ceramic coating, cool-touch handles for safety.

  5. For people in small spaces (dorms, studios, RVs) or those with limited kitchen gear, this offers a new level of capability.

What are the potential drawbacks you should consider when you back it?

  1. While the technology sounds impressive, results may vary depending on your microwave model, wattage, and user technique—there’s risk of inconsistent performance.

  2. As with any crowdfunded product, final manufacturing, delivery timelines, and actual product quality may differ from the prototype or campaign promises.

  3. Some users may not need the advanced heat/infrared capability if they already have a conventional oven or outdoor grill—so the added value may be marginal for them.

  4. There may be additional shipping, import or customs costs depending on your region; also warranty/support may be more limited for backers versus regular retail.

The reliability of the project

  1. Pellytech has a documented track record: the campaign cites over 10 million units sold worldwide and 20+ years of innovation in microwave-cooking appliances.

  2. The project already vastly exceeded its initial funding goal, showing strong initial interest and backing momentum.

  3. The campaign page provides fairly detailed technical descriptions—such as the far-infrared heating plate, sealed lid, ceramic coating and handle design—which suggests serious engineering.

  4. That said, I did not find detailed user-reviews of this exact Signature model in mass market yet, so the leap from prototype to full production still carries typical risk.

Conclusion

If you’re looking to upgrade your kitchen setup without buying a full grill or oven, and you live in a space-constrained environment, the RANGEMATE Signature presents a compelling option. The combination of far-infrared technology, compact design and brand history position it as an interesting innovation. However, back it only if you’re comfortable with the inherent uncertainties of crowdfunded hardware—especially when it depends on your specific microwave’s compatibility and when shipping timelines may shift. In short: for the small-kitchen or dorm-living cook who wants grill-quality results with minimal footprint, this project is worth serious consideration.
